Event Venues in Reno, Nevada

Reno is known as the biggest little city in the world. The city is within an hour’s drive of Lake Tahoe, Carson City, ski resorts, golf courses, biking and hiking trails, several lakes and the Truckee River. Circus Circus, one of Reno’s premier downtown casinos, has 22,000 square feet of meeting space on the property. The Mandalay Ballroom is 8,126 square feet that can be used as an elegant setting for banquets and meetings. The Ballroom can be divided into two separate rooms or joined with the six surrounding breakout rooms to make a 15,000 square foot space. The six breakout rooms can also be rented separately for smaller events. Circus Circus has several wedding packages to choose from. Catering is available.

The Downtown Reno Ballroom has 32,700 square feet of versatile meeting space. The facility can accommodate over 1,900 for an elaborate dinner and over 2,900 for a general session. The Ballroom is adjacent to the Reno Events Center.

The Fleischmann Planetarium was built in 1964 and was the first in the world to project full dome movies. The planetarium has an exhibit hall, a sixty-seat theater, a gift shop, a classroom and gallery space. The planetarium is a great place for birthday parties with up to 25 guests and offers packages that include a show or craft activity, use of the party place, invitations, cups, plates and napkins, and ball bearings for the gravity well. The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino has over 200,000 square feet of flexible space available for meetings, functions and events. The Grand Ballroom is 39,846 square feet and can be combined with the Grand Salon to create 40,500 square feet of event space and accommodate up to 2,900 people. The Summit Pavilion is 45,312 square feet and can accommodate up to 300 8’ x 10’ booths or 4,000 people. The Silver State Pavilion is 41,364 square feet and can accommodate up to 210 8’x10’ booths or 2,240 people. The Nevada Conference and Exhibition Center is 44,115 square feet and has eleven breakout rooms that can accommodate up to 100 people each. The Grand Theater has the world’s largest stage, amazing acoustics and tiered seating for 1,800 people. The Crystal Ballroom is 7,096 square feet and will accommodate up to 700 people. The casino has several mezzanine breakout rooms that will accommodate between 24 and 200 guests each. The casino also has an executive boardroom for meetings with up to 25 people.

The National Bowling Stadium is the only facility of its kind in the world. The stadium has a four-level lobby with a bronze statue depicting a family going bowling. On the fifth floor is a 172-seat I-WERKS theater that can also be rented by groups for events.

The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts is home to many great events including traveling Broadway musicals, orchestra concerts, opera and ballet. Groups can rent hospitality suites for events that can accommodate 54 to 120 people and be fully catered.

Rancho San Rafael Park includes the Wilber D May Center, a museum of rare and exotic artifacts. The Garden Court at the May Center, which includes a hall and back patio, makes a magnificent setting for events with a landscape of waterfalls, ponds and plants. The Garden Court is 1,700 square feet and will accommodate 73 people at tables or 220 standing. The Double Diamond Room can be rented with the Garden Court. The Double Diamond room measures 1,350 square feet and can accommodate 85 people seated at tables or 200 standing. A kitchen is available to rent with the rooms. Also available at the park are the Ranch House, the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens and the Great Basin Adventure. The park Arboretum provides a display of colorful flowers, creek-side meadows, outdoor courtyards and secluded benches that make a romantic setting for events. The Great Basin Adventure is a family amusement park with a petting zoo, pony rides, gold panning, a log flume ride and a discovery room.

The Reno Events Center is a versatile new building with seating for 7,000 people. The venue offers flexible seating arrangements for a variety of large events including concerts, sports events and headlining comics.

Reno Sparks Convention Center

The Reno Sparks Convention Center has over 500,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space. The convention center has five continuous exhibit halls with 381,000 square feet of space. The halls all have drive-in access that provides access for oversized equipment, vehicles and aircraft. The Mt Rose Ballroom is 30,000 square feet of space ideal for formal dining functions, seminars and exhibits. The ballroom is dividable into seven meeting rooms. The convention center has fifty-three meeting rooms that will accommodate from 50 to 3,000 people. The central registration lobby is 17,500 square feet of space and a second registration area outside the ballroom allows multiple shows to be scheduled simultaneously.

Reno Sparks Livestock Events Center

The Reno Sparks Livestock Events Center is situated on 43 acres of land located minutes from downtown Reno. The center has a 20,000-square-foot exhibition hall, two indoor and two outdoor arenas, 3,100 paved and lighted parking spaces, and 660 10-by-12-foot animal stalls. The climate controlled Main Arena has stadium seating for 6,200 people with a 300’ x 150’ dirt floor arena. The Livestock Pavilion includes a a 1,000-seat arena or auction area, a 100-by-125-foot covered cutting area, and a 90-by-200-foot outdoor arena. The Rodeo Arena has 9,491 seats, plus viewing suites and a 325’ x 170’ dirt floor arena. The 20,000 square foot exhibition hall has a 100’ x 200’ cement floor.

The Resort at Red Hawk has two championship golf courses, David’s Grill, a swim and fitness center, overnight accommodations in luxurious villas and an event center. The Atrium and Patios outside David’s Grill provide several options for parties. The BoardRoom can accommodate up to 15 guests. Outdoor settings are also available for events.

The Sands Regency has 12,000 square feet of meeting space for all sorts of events. The Regency Tower has a 4,784 square feet ballroom that can be divided into several smaller rooms. The Dynasty Tower has several rooms ranging from 320 to 2,538 square feet. The casino also houses the Agape Wedding Chapel on the main floor. The chapel can accommodate up to 30 guests plus the bridal party at no extra charge. Larger weddings with up to 350 guests can be arranged in advance. The chapel is also a florist selling real and silk flower arrangements.

Sierra Arts is located at the Riverside Artistic Lofts in downtown Reno. Sierra Arts has a large gallery room that can accommodate receptions of up to 120 people. The gallery has permanent and rotating exhibits including painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography. The gallery includes a piano and Sierra Arts can provide contact information for musicians to hire for events. Sierra Arts also has a full kitchen and a conference room.
