Carefree Resort and Villas is located on 54 acres of Sonoran Desert in Carefree, Arizona. The resort is easily accessible from both Phoenix and Scottsdale. The resort has 369 guest accommodations, a spa, a golf course, a tennis club, a fitness center and two pools. Carefree Resort and Villas has 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The dividable Saguaro Ballroom is 9,600 square feet and can accommodate up to 1,100 people. The Opera House with Balcony is 11,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 800 people. The Opera House without the balcony it is 8,064 square feet and can accommodate up to 600 people. Additional indoor and outdoor settings are available for events ranging from 360 square feet to 4,536 square feet.

Desert Forest Golf Club was built in 1962 by Robert “Red” Lawrence and is considered the first desert-style course ever built. The course was built out of the existing desert landscape without the removal or reshaping of the soil. The club has a clubhouse with dining room.

Spirit in the Desert Resort is located at nearly 2,600 feet elevation, surrounded by mountains and desert landscape. The resort includes the Estrem Center, which has two conference rooms, a small chapel, a lounge, and fourteen bedrooms. An additional two-story facility includes a conference center, a chapel, a dining room, and additional lodging.
