Bullhead City had a record height of 132 degrees F in the shade on August 11, 1983, which earned the city its nickname, “Arizona’s Hottest Destination.” The city is across the Colorado River from Laughlin, Nevada and has an airport with service to Phoenix. Amor Wedding Chapel is a small, comfortable chapel with seating for up to 30 people. The ceremony is performed with the bride and groom standing under a heart shaped, rose covered arch lit with heart shaped candelabras. Colorado River Historical Museum

The Colorado River Historical Museum is located ½ mile north of the Laughlin bridge at Davis camp. The museum building was built in 1947. The museum’s collection includes photos, maps, Indian artifacts, an 1859 Steinway piano, gold mine exhibits, minerals and gemstones, a fossil snail, a railway exhibit, and Bullhead City’s first post office. The museum has a wedding chapel and reception area and hosts indoor and outdoor weddings.

Colorado River Nature center is a wildlife and recreation facility. The center is a great place for outdoor activities including swimming, boating, horseback riding, photography, hiking and bird watching. The Nature Center makes a nice setting for a picnic.
